About

Welcome!  In this blog you’ll find an assortment of my writings.  Some were originally published elsewhere (the Huffington Post and the Pennsylvania Gazette).  Others derive from travel letters I’ve sent out since I began a long period of intentional nomadism, in 2003, and there may also be an additional smattering of this and that.   I’m new to blogging, and still reluctant after all these years, but so far, the Koolaid of cyber-publishing tastes better than I thought it would.

I welcome your thoughts and comments.  Thank you.

  1. Good man.
I stumbled upon your blog and it was like a delightful journey reading your stories.
I (as another nomad by choice) wholeheartedly recommend the home-free experience too. One has to forgo many things for it and may go through many unpleasant situations just to see he has always been home although he has no home and he may always be on the road. Ironically the feeling of always being at home fades away as soon as one picks up an abiding.

    1. Always wonderful to learn of another person living intentionally home-free! I have similarly felt, at times, the paradox that without a physical home, home is everywhere, and once one lands in a specific place, “home” becomes more limited. It’s an ongoing exploration/meditation on what it means to be at home. Thanks for your comment.

  2. I love the website — that fact that you do have a website — and have only this evening finally stumbled over here. Lovely to see you in cyber space — and hopefully in person one of these days soon!
